Book Order!

Hi homeschool friends! I have an Usborne Books order going in on Friday, April 12th. Usborne is  GREAT resource for homeschool books as you can get them internet linked (History of the World has some incredible links to impressive free curriculum pages). They have books for pretty much every subject- science, history, geography, learning to read, etc. LOVE LOVE LOVE their stuff!! If you're local (Tooele), I can even come show you some of the books in person!

Sight Words Lap Book

One of my favorite lapbooks EVER has been one I made to help Mr. Vaughn learn his sight words. Anybody gets bored doing the same activity too many times, so even though I put together a really cool notebook to help him trace, write, recognize and have fun with each individual word, we needed more. I got a lot of ideas from Pinterest, but put them together my own way.

*just a note* The words of, a, to, in, is, he, and I are not included because when I made this all up, Vaughn had those words mastered. Sorry!

Spring Break!!

Since I still have a daughter in public school, when she took a Spring Break, we ALL took a spring break!!!

Monday:
Swimming with cousins and grandma!! (WHY didn't I take pictures?!?!)

Tuesday:
Chilled out at home. This might not seem all that exciting, but since I also babysit lots of extra kids, it was rare for me to have JUST my children home. The biggest thing for me was that my kids got along almost ALL day!! It was fantastic!!

Wednesday:
I was back to watching kids, but my kids also went and played with friends while I went to do my other "job." The neighbor (who I also watch) also spent the night. This day had an AWESOME surprise, though- I got a package in the mail from one of the greatest people ever!!! Check out all the goodies Jamie sent me!!!

Today:
We went to the park with a friend, then spent time at home. Made the kids' day when we took the missionaries to Taco Bell for dinner. We had a blast! (Get it, a blast? Because Taco Bell is the only place you can get a Baja Blast)
